"Totems, Divas & Icons"
Rhinebeck, New York
After exhibiting in New York City for the last fifteen years, including 12 one-man shows and 23 group shows, Sean Bowen is now calling his Rhinebeck studio home (fresher air, a slower pace, and steps away from his Harley... ) and had his first local exhibit at:
Inner Space
12-14 East Market Street
Rhinebeck, NY 12572
Totems, Divas & Icons features three distinct styles:
- The Totems are both organic and profound filled with mysticism and symbolism. Composed of earth tones and textures, they have a strong abstract aspect.
- The Divas show a graceful faceless sensuality in line, color, and simplicity.
- The Icons are drawn from Sean's influences in the arts, politics, and history. Colorful and graphically alive, they represent the music, ideals, and artistic abandon he shares.
Though Sean may have relocated to the country, the city streets remain in his artistic senses. "My main objective is to create mood for the viewer through my use of color, texture, and expression," Bowen says.
His formal training included the Silvermine Guild of Artists, Paier School of Art, and the University of Oregon. For more information contact us.
